Skills for Care is working with ADASS to develop a series of easy-to-use tools to embed future workforce commissioning across the sector. As part of the development of the InLAWS project we have developed a draft 'Guide to workforce planning for providers of adult social care' designed for busy employers who need help to plan their workforce.
This recruitment and retention toolkit for the adult social care sector has been produced as a practical resource for care providers to improve their recruitment and retention strategies.
Entries are now open for the Skills for Care Accolades 2010 celebrating the very best practice in social care workforce development by employers across England. The Accolades are now seen as the Oscars of the social care world rewarding social care employers and organisations for their commitment to workforce development and innovation. There are 14 award categories, including ?Most effective recruitment initiative? and ?Best quality provision of social work practice placements?.
